HIGHLIGHTS FOR CUMC
Eastern Shore Wind Ensemble - Christ Church
will host the ESWE on Sunday, March 14, at 4:00 p.m. The concert
is free and open to the community. The band is directed by Keith
Wharton. There will be a reception immediately after the concert.

Lenten Love Feast - Christ United Methodist Church will host the 2nd annual Lenten Love Feast on Saturday, March 20, 7:00 p.m. The Love Feast is a celebration of Word, Song, and Symbol centered around traditional Biblical Lenten lessons. Inspired by and adapted from early Moravian celebrations, the Love Feast originated as services among believers who met and broke bread together, thus, signifying their union and equality. Our Feast is primarily a service of song and thanksgiving. Christ Church is located at 401 High St., Chestertown. For information contact the church office at 410-778-0911.
Church Yard Sale - On Saturday, May 8th, 8:00 to 12:00 a.m., Christ United Methodist Church, 401 High St., will host our biggest annual yard sale ever...more than 30 tables of treasures to browse through! Incredible prices! Proceeds support our church and its missions in the community. Come one, come all, and enjoy our Bake Sale, hot dogs, and sodas! Hope to see you all there! Vendors welcome. Blessing of the Animals - Our pastor, Rev. Willard Crossan, will provide a “Blessing of the Animals” on the grounds of Christ Church on Saturday, October 9, 10:00 a.m. Everyone is welcome to attend the ceremony. Roast Beef Dinner - Christ United Methodist Church is hosting its annual community Roast Beef Dinner. Tender, slow-grilled, hot roast beef will be served at Christ Church between the hours of 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. on Friday, October 15th. Eat in or carry out. October FunFest - Christ United Methodist Church is hosting its annual October FunFest. This community event is for "kids" of all ages! Join us in costume for fun and frolic. The FunFest will be held at the church (401 High St., Chestertown) on Saturday, October 23rd, 3:00-5:00 p.m. Featured events will be a costume parade and many games, including such favorites as Ring Toss, Eat a Donut Off the String, Twister, and Face Painting by Patty the Clown. Cookie Walk - A community event. This year’s Cookie Walk will be Saturday, December 4, from 9 a.m. until all the cookies have been claimed. Participants will again walk along tables filled with cookie trays, selecting the ones that look yummy to them and putting them in a box provided at the door when they enter. Christmas in the Grand Tradition - Christmas in the Grand Tradition will be celebrated at Christ United Methodist Church in Chestertown on Saturday evening, December 18th. A rousing community carol sing will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the church sanctuary with organ and brass accompaniment. At 7:00 p.m. the Chancel Choir of the church will present the beautiful service of Nine Lessons and Carols for Christmas. Leading the musical portions of the evening will be noted organist and composer, Marc F. Cheban, who serves as Director of Music at the church. Refreshments will be served after the service.
